My rede vir die duiwe se verkoop is die feit dat ek huis gekoop het en nie al die duiwe sal kan skuif nie.
My familie duiwe het hoofsaaklik tot staan gekom met die aankoop van Shoot It UP.
Hy was geteel uit Belg 3100112 98 (Prince X Provinciaalke) van Ettienne de Vos en n dogter van Lot 100 - Die Witoog Lou Wouter Cock (Schmidt & Bouwer) saam met n dubbel wenner Gold Medal de Vos hen 27981.
Hy was 21 ste op Sun City in die hoof wedvlug en teel reeds in sy eerste jaar saam met n dogter van die Witoog(19000) die beste duif in die NOK unie. Die jaar daarna teel hy die 2de beste duif in die unie.Sy seun 658 wat die beste duif was, teel 1115 wat 11de op Sun City was.(Daar is n dogter van 658 onder die duiwe wat verkoop word).
Ek bekom Shoot It Up eers einde 2008. Dadelik kon ek die verandering in resultate sien en was hy ook grootliks verantwoordelik dat ek gedurende 2009 seisoen 7 uit die eerste 10 beste duiwe in die federasie(100 lede) gehad wat dan die eerste 3 insluit.
Gedurende 2010 het ek weer 7 gehad en is baie bevoorreg om te kan sê dat hierdie hok duiwe nou reeds vir 5 jaar die beste duif in die federasie het.
Ek het ook duiwe van Gavin Rous, Jannie Nel, Willie Nel, en Schmidt & Bouwer bygebring.
My hoogtepunt was natuurlik 2012 waar ons die eerste 6 beste duiwe algeheel gehad het, en ook 1ste en 2de beste Langpad duiwe SANPO.
Algeheel was twee direkte dogters van Shoot It Up 4de en 5de SANPO en hulle is geteel op 12 jarige ouderdom.
Die een dogter wen die Goue medalje op die langpad en is n 4 X wenner en haar kinders presteer reeds uitstekend. Die een seun is n Dubbel wenner en so ook haar eerste dogter.
Wat die familie besonders maak is hulle herstel vermoë en die feit dat ek hulle kon aanwend tussen 12 en 20 naweke na mekaar sonder verval en verweer.
Hulle het deurgaans bewys dat hulle nieteenstaande die omstandighede uitsonderlik presteer.
Baie van die duiwe doen die laaste 8 wedvlugte van die seisoen namekaar, en daarom was tot 9 van die beste 10 duiwe op federasie vlak op die langpad reeds ons s'n.
Hulle vlieg nie net as jaarouds nie,maar herhaal en verbeter eerder as 2 jaarouds.
Ek teel reeds nou met 3 en 4 geslagte se wenners en best birds wat net 'n bewys is van die familie se erfdwang.

Ek 'n familie duiwe geteel het wat op enige afstand en weersomstandighede presteer.
Dat vriende en mededuiweboere wat van die bloed bekom het en onder hulle bestuur dadelik wenners voortgebring het.
Die vriende wat ek gemaak het in die sport en die bloed wat bygebring was van hulle om hierdie hok te lig na die vlak wat dit vandag is.
Mag die duiweboere wat die duiwe bekom sukses hê met hulle.
